Terms of Service

These are the terms that govern your use of Mintward. They're written to be read, not skimmed past — but they're not legal advice, and they'll change as the product does. When they change in a way that matters, we'll tell you first (section 9).

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Mintward, you agree to these terms and to the data-handling practices described below and in our FAQ. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

2. Your account

You must be 18 or older to open an account. You're responsible for keeping your login secure — we recommend turning on multi-factor authentication from your Profile. One account per business: staff members are separate users invited under an owner account, not shared logins. We may suspend or restrict accounts for abuse, fraud, or non-payment.

3. Your data

Your inventory, customer records, sales history, photos, and notes are yours. You retain ownership of all of it, and you grant Mintward a limited license to store and process that data solely to provide the service. We do not sell it, and we do not share it with third parties for their marketing or for training their AI models. AI grading runs on Azure OpenAI Service; under Microsoft's Azure OpenAI privacy commitments, your inputs and the AI's outputs stay within our Azure tenant and are not used to train Microsoft's models.

4. AI grading disclaimer

AI-generated grades are estimates, not professional grading opinions. They are not a substitute for PCGS, NGC, ANACS, or an experienced in-person eye — especially on valuable coins. Mintward is not liable for grading errors or for the financial consequences of relying on an AI grade when buying or selling. Verify in hand; certify what matters.

5. Payments

Subscription billing is handled by Square; plan pricing and quota mechanics are described in the billing FAQ. You can cancel anytime from Profile → Subscription → Billing & Payments — access continues to the end of the billing period you've paid for, and there are no refunds for partial months. Grade packs are non-refundable but never expire.

6. Acceptable use

Use Mintward to run your shop, not to break things. Specifically, you may not:

• reverse engineer the service or probe it for vulnerabilities;
• scrape the platform or harvest data from it;
• resell or share access to your account;
• use the platform to launder proceeds of crime or to trade coins you know or suspect are stolen;
• upload photos that belong to someone else without their permission.

7. Termination

Either of us can end this. If you close your account, your data is deleted per our data-delete flow — inventory, customers, sales, photos, and history all go with it. If we terminate your account for cause, the same deletion applies, minus anything we're legally required to retain (for example, records tied to a fraud investigation).

8. Warranty disclaimer & limitation of liability

Mintward is provided as is. We don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose, and we don't warrant the accuracy of AI grades or price estimates. To the maximum extent the law allows, our total liability to you is capped at the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Mintward evolves. For material changes we'll give you at least 14 days' notice — by email and by a banner in the app — before the new terms take effect. Continuing to use Mintward after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing law & disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of [STATE], United States. Disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration, except that either side may bring a claim in small claims court or seek relief for intellectual-property disputes in court.
